the beach of Arromanches were chosen bythe allies in 1944 to create the port Winston Churchill with the aim of
supplying the troops with material weapons and ammunition. Arromanches was the official site for the commemorations of the 60eme birthday where 22 Heads of State came to pay homage to the men who defended our freedom there are many museums, cemeteries, beaches, historic sites to visit.
